NEW YORK, November 4, 2025 — WTW (NASDAQ: WTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, today announced The Leapfrog Group – a national watchdog organization of employers and other purchasers focused on health care safety and quality – has approved WTW’s Culture of Safety Survey for use in healthcare organizations to assess patient safety practices.

WTW’s Culture of Safety Survey assesses the leadership mindset and local behaviors within healthcare organizations that cultivate a positive patient safety culture. By identifying cultural strengths and gaps, the survey helps organizations take targeted action to reduce safety incidents and foster a more accountable care environment. With just seven items, the survey is a fast and easy solution for providing these organizations with reliable, usable data without disturbing employees from their essential work.

The survey focuses on two dimensions of culture:

  • Organizational mindset: The underlying values, principles and beliefs around patient safety that are established by senior leadership and set the tone for the entire organization.
  • Local behaviors and enablers: The shared conduct and activities that translate the organization's values around patient safety into daily practices, and the programs, policies and practices that ensure patient safety is maintained.

Used as a standalone survey or incorporated as an index in a broader employee experience survey, the Culture of Safety Survey measures what is important within the healthcare organization, enabling them to identify and prioritize the best actions to drive meaningful improvements in safety culture.

“We’re delighted that this important survey has been recognized by The Leapfrog Group. As the focus on safety continues within healthcare organizations, identifying actionable insights into areas of improvement and targeted strategies to enhance patient safety outcomes is essential. These insights are most useful to leaders when informed by employees within the clinical setting,” said Tiffany Shortridge, N.A. Organizational Insights & Change Sales Leader.
