Scott is a climate and Earth scientist with expertise in water security, climate change and natural hazards. He works as Head of Weather & Climate Research at WTW, a global insurance broking, risk management, and advisory firm. Previously, Scott was associate professor of geography at the University of Minnesota and a research scientist with the Geological Survey of Canada. He is a Fellow of Germany’s Alexander von Humbolt Foundation and has served as adjunct (honorary) professor at Queen’s University and St. Francis Xavier University in Canada. Scott has a Ph.D. in geosciences from the University of Arizona.
