Pension Scheme Transactions

WTW’s specialist Transactions team has extensive experience of working with clients who are looking to purchase buy-ins and longevity swaps. It’s a busy market and we have been at the forefront, driving innovation for large and small transactions.

Reducing the investment and longevity risk associated within their pension schemes through purchasing insurance, be it a bulk annuity or a longevity swap is something many plan sponsors and trustees would like to achieve. But what does the bulk annuity market look like? And how do you make it happen?

WTW’s specialist Transactions team has extensive experience of working with clients who are looking to purchase bulk annuities and longevity swaps. We provide advice and implementation services, based on our in-depth knowledge of the market and track record for transacting, including securing buy-in policies and supporting schemes on their journey to full buyout. From understanding your risks to establishing a de-risking roadmap to the execution of your de-risking plan, including hedging longevity risk and investment solutions, our services begin with a clear understanding of your needs.

The team brings together a wide range of backgrounds in insurance, investment, administration and pension consulting, as well as in-house experience from a number of insurers and investment banks.

This wealth of experience and depth of expertise means we can support both the very largest and most complex transactions, as well as the smallest deals that need a more streamlined approach, calling on our tried and tested processes, project management strength and efficient implementation.
