LONDON, September 21, 2023 — WTW’s Global Menopause Support Group has been named Best Support Group at the Menopause Friendly Employer Awards. In addition, WTW has been awarded Menopause Friendly Accreditation by Menopause in the Workplace, which hosts the awards.

The award and accreditation reflect WTW’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all colleagues at every stage of their careers.

Now in its second year, the 2023 Menopause Friendly Employer Awards recognise organisations and individuals whose commitment and determination have succeeded in providing support, solutions and resources that normalise menopause in the workplace.

The Best Support Group category saw the largest number of applications from organisations of all sizes, across a wide range of sectors. Clearly evident were passion and dedication from individuals supported by senior leaders to facilitate a group to implement action.

We are extremely proud to have received this award and accreditation. It’s a testament to the dedication shown by members of our Global Menopause Support Group committee.”

Nancy Reeve, Chair of WTW’s Global Menopause Support Group, said: “We are extremely proud to have received this award and accreditation. It’s a testament to the dedication shown by members of our Global Menopause Support Group committee.

“With over 1,000 members in 29 countries, the reach of the Group is enormous and its committee members are dedicated, passionate and work tirelessly to create an inclusive and supportive culture.  The group has created a thriving community where stories are shared and information and support are provided, alongside a safe space where colleagues can reach out confidentially if needed.

“Visible engagement from the most senior leaders in the business, using events that attract hundreds of colleagues, has raised awareness of the network and encouraged all leaders and colleagues to be open about menopause. Together, we’re building a more inclusive workplace where everyone can excel.”

Deborah Garlick, CEO, Menopause in the Workplace, said: “The Independent Panel was hugely impressed by the ambitious vision of WTW’s Global Menopause Support Group to provide support in the workplace. It fosters a truly open and inclusive culture, achieving diversity and prioritising talent.”

The Menopause Friendly Accreditation, established by Menopause In The Workplace, recognises high standards and proven practices that embrace menopause in the workplace.

In order to achieve The Menopause Friendly Accreditation, employers are assessed by an Independent Panel and must demonstrate evidence of their effectiveness in six key areas, namely: culture, policies and practices, training, engagement, facilities and evaluation.
