JENNY GIBBONS: In terms of the biggest takeaway from today's session, we had a part of the session where one of our team played a video of some of the influencers that our members are having access to in terms of what they should do with their pensions. And what I thought was so interesting is watching the audience as that video was playing. So at the start, they were smiling, and then you could see their faces dropped as they saw the extent of the misinformation that their members are going to be receiving. And that was such a powerful moment for me.

MARK DANIEL: I think, for me, the biggest takeaway was the diversity of perspective in the room and I guess echoed across the industry. And I think that was best shown in the session we had on Whose Surplus Is It Anyway? Three really compelling arguments from a member perspective, from a company perspective, and from an actuarial perspective.

JENNY GIBBONS: In terms of summarizing the conference in one sentence, for me, it's about a beautiful combination of lots of energy and noise in the room, with also that invitation to just pause and step back and think again about what's happening in our pensions industry.

MARK DANIEL: I think, for me, I'd start with one word, "promise." And I felt real promise of people's openness to new ideas, to new beliefs, to thinking again about the way we do things in our industry.

JENNY GIBBONS: Well, especially as people who didn't come into this industry to be entertainers or on a stage, it's challenging. But do you know what? The subject matter has just been there in terms of the interesting themes and the people who are just willing to get on stage and talk about them. So that's made it easier.

MARK DANIEL: Yeah, I'd agree. And I didn't expect to say this, but I actually quite enjoyed it. What I really enjoyed is how all our speakers stepped up from our colleagues, but also the great line of external speakers as well. We're very thankful for them giving up their time. They were excellent today. So overall, just a sense of enjoyment.
