Long-standing partnership in HR outsourcing in French-speaking Switzerland.

For many years now, we have been witnessing a decline in human resources (HR) capacity in many organisations, from multinationals to SMEs. This has resulted in a need to outsource a number of activities, such as managing absenteeism, payroll and monitoring accident and illness cases. Against this backdrop, the market has expanded rapidly, offering modular solutions that can be adapted to suit every need.

Different developments depending on the region

In French-speaking Switzerland, insurance brokers have developed a wide range of services to meet demand. It is interesting to note that on the other side of the border, the need was felt in a different way and that the service providers active in this market tended to remain focused on their core business: insurance broker, payroll manager, company health adviser, etc. It is more difficult to find service providers offering a combination of these services. There are advantages and disadvantages to this situation. Staying focused on one's original core business makes it possible to rather optimise the service and avoid taking on an activity in which one has less expertise. However, some companies seem to prefer to link services and collaborate with a limited number of outsourcing partners, whether for reasons of cost or efficiency.

Inceo’s takeover by Trianon – Collaboration reinforcement with WTW

In 2013, WTW decided to join forces with a renowned partner in the French-speaking Switzerland market, Inceo, which offers its HR outsourcing services under the “ExpertLine” brand name. The initial aim was to offer international customers proven expertise in group health insurance plans. As the new partnership quickly proved its worth, and to cover HR outsourcing needs, the offering was expanded to include full accident and sickness claims management for collective personal insurances. The proposition was then extended with the development of a platform for managing planned and unplanned absenteeism, enabling the various HR administration services to be offered through a single tool.

In July 2023, a new adventure began with the merger between Inceo and another long-standing WTW partner, Trianon, a Swiss company at the forefront of HR outsourcing and pension fund management. This strengthens the new structure, with Inceo joining an organisation with a more solid foundation in terms of both resources and finances. WTW looks forward to continuing this partnership, offering its customers a broader range of proven products and services not only in Western Switzerland but, in a near future, also in the Swiss German part of the country.
