"Another perfect CEI score is a wonderful recognition of our unwavering commitment to foster an inclusive and diverse environment," said Suzanne McAndrew, global head of Talent Advice, Data and Software, Willis Towers Watson, and global LGBT+ inclusion network leader. "We are thrilled to be at the forefront of organizations that continue to take a stand in support and resolution of important LGBT+ and equality issues in the workforce. We will continue to do our part to be forward-thinking as we evolve our inclusion and diversity agenda — as well as support our clients as they do the same."
"The impact of the Human Rights Campaign's CEI is profound," said Alphonso David, president, Human Rights Campaign. "The corporate community has worked with us to adopt LGBT+ inclusive policies, practices and benefits, establishing the CEI as a driving force for LGBT+ workplace inclusion in the U.S. and globally. These companies know protecting their LGBT+ employees and customers from discrimination is not just the right thing to do, it's the best business decision. Many leaders also advocate for the LGBT+ community and equality in the public square, while understanding their LGBT+ employees and customers deserve to be seen, valued and respected not only at work but in every aspect of daily life."
The results of this year's CEI showcase how 1,059 U.S.-based companies are not only promoting LGBT+-friendly workplace policies in the U.S. but helping to advance the cause of LGBT+ inclusion in workplaces abroad. Willis Towers Watson's efforts in satisfying all of the CEI's criteria earned a 100% ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT+ Equality.
The CEI rates companies and top law firms on detailed criteria falling under five broad categories:
