Australian organisations with more than 500 employees must submit reports to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) from 2026 reflecting progress on six Gender Equality Indicators (GEIs). The expanded requirements apply from 1 April to 31 May 2026.
Why this matters
Organisations must inform employees and employee organisations about the report submissions. They must also provide access upon request and are encouraged to publish commentary or action plans to contextualise the data. These changes represent a significant shift in WGEA compliance and transparency expectations. They aim to improve gender equality in Australian workplaces.
How WTW can help
WTW helps you meet the expanded WGEA gender equality requirements, removing the burden of preparing your WGEA submission and partnering with you to design and implement your action plans. We also support your ongoing diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
Through an end-to-end partnership, we integrate WGEA reporting with your business strategy to support WGEA compliance and beyond, while recognising that organisations are at different stages of their journey. This applies whether you are just starting the gap analysis, are ready to create an action plan or need help completing the WGEA report questionnaire.
We support you at every step with our modular, scalable approach. You can select all modules, combine them, or create a bespoke approach tailored to your needs.
