LONDON, October 3, 2023 – WTW (NASDAQ:WTW), a leading global advisory and broking solutions company marks five years of growth for its Airport Risk Community (ARC), securing more than a thousand global members and partnerships with key industry stakeholders.
ARC’s original purpose remains as valuable today as 5 years ago - to connect groups of professionals around the world, to share knowledge and insight by hosting events, and to help build industry resilience.
As part of this risk-focused remit, WTW partnered with the University of Cambridge’s Centre for Risk Studies last year to launch its first Airport Risk Index, which allows airports to introduce new risk profiling methods to future proof their resilience planning. This was presented to global airport executives at the annual WTW ARC conference held in Lisbon in 2022.
This year, the annual ARC conference, will be held in London, focusing on the role of talent, technology and transformation in building a sustainable future for airports. Since the launch of ARC, WTW has hosted annual events across Europe, bringing together more than five hundred industry leaders, to evaluate the risk landscape and support a proactive response to sector challenges.
Marking another milestone for ARC, from direct discussions with airports regarding their cyber vulnerability concerns, WTW launched CyFly for Airports in 2019, a cyber solution developed to uniquely responds to airport cyber exposures.
Five years on, ARC continues to build connections and share best practice across the industry through its Airport Exchanges, where airports and their service providers facilitate visits to each other’s organisations and discuss key concerns and possible solutions.
John Rooley, CEO Global Aviation & Space at WTW says: “We launched ARC with the intention of globally connecting the airport community to tackle common industry risks – and we’re delighted with its success in achieving that over the last five years.
