Do you know how your MPF service provider ranks in terms of market share within the entire MPF market? We take a closer look at the latest MPF market distribution information in Hong Kong. This will help you understand the relative size of different sponsors’ MPF assets, as well as market share trends in the MPF market.
The first chart provides the distribution information in Hong Kong as at 31 December, 2023. Manulife continued to rank first in terms of size, accounting for 27.8%. In second place is HSBC with a market share of 17.7%. Sun Life and AIA have a market share of 11.1% and 9.1%, respectively.
The second chart shows the change in the distribution of the 5 largest MPF providers since 2018, from which you will see that their market shares have remained broadly unchanged over the past few years.
