The latest Beyond Data webinar, conducted on 5 February 2026, brought together WTW experts to share insights on salary projections, AI-powered talent strategies, and rising medical costs across Asia Pacific.

Key highlights included:

  • Latest compensation trends: Participants explored the most recent compensation trends, including 2025 actual salary budgets and 2026 projections by country and industry. The session highlighted differences between total salary and merit increases, promotion rates, and pay adjustments, with a special focus on Southeast Asia — covering Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
  • Leveraging AI for workforce transformation: The webinar also examined how organizations can leverage AI to transform workforce strategies. WTW introduced its proprietary Global Grading System (GGS), designed to build strong foundations for future-ready people programmes. Key features included Automated Job Levelling, which applies machine learning and generative AI for accurate and efficient job evaluations, and Skills Scan, which uses advanced web scraping to identify emerging skills and enable proactive talent strategies.
  • Key findings from our latest Global Medical Trends survey: Another important discussion centered on findings from WTW’s latest Global Medical Trends survey, which revealed that healthcare costs in Asia Pacific are rising sharply. Medical inflation is projected to reach 14% in 2026, significantly above the global average. The experts unpacked the drivers behind these increases and shared actionable insights to help employers anticipate challenges and design resilient, cost-effective health strategies.

The session was led by WTW experts: Edward Hsu, Rewards Data Intelligence Leader, International; Grace Kuo, Work, Rewards and Careers Practice Leader, Asia Pacific; and Eva Liu, Head of Strategic Development and Southeast Asia (ex. Singapore), Health and Benefits, Asia Pacific.
