The impacts of climate change are becoming more evident, prevalent, and far-reaching – and businesses in the Philippines are affected in a variety of ways. Physical climate risks increasingly threaten your firm’s bottom line, while regulators, investors, and consumers demand greater action from your firm to understand, report and manage its climate risk exposure. At the same time, the economy-wide transition to net-zero, new technology, and market sentiment may disrupt your business model and pose new challenges and opportunities. Businesses that do not address climate risks are likely to fail, facing increased pressure on their profitability, liability risk and potentially restricted access to capital and liquidity.

The Financial Stability Board has created the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) to develop recommendations on how your organization can understand, report, and manage the financial impacts of climate change to its operations. In the Philippines, the TCFD recommendations serve as a basis for the Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) 2019 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines for Publicly Listed Companies.

Our TCFD advisory services and our comprehensive approach to climate risks can support your business in its journey towards climate resilience that is aligned with the TCFD recommendations and the Philippine SEC's sustainability reporting guidelines. We will guide you from understanding and measuring risk to reporting on strategic actions and implementing a strategic response.
