SINGAPORE, November 10, 2025 – Willis, a business of WTW, today announced the establishment of a dedicated Data Centre Industry Practice for Asia. This strategic initiative underscores Willis’ commitment to being Asia’s Best Risk Advisor and Specialty Broker, enhancing its industry capabilities for companies across the region.
The Data Centre sector in Asia is experiencing unprecedented growth, with the region likely to be the fastest growing one for data centre colocation over the next five years. According to Global Data, the pipeline of data centre construction projects is estimated to be about US$160 billion in South, Southeast Asia and Australasia. Growth in the region’s data centres will be driven by demand in countries such as Indonesia, the Philippines and India in the coming years.

To lead this new Practice at Willis, Lay See Ong is appointed the new Practice Leader in Asia, based in Singapore. This role is in addition to Lay See’s existing position as a Strategic Client Leader within Large Accounts Asia.
With more than 25 years of experience in risk advisory, broking and client leadership, Lay See brings deep expertise in Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) and complex infrastructure sectors. She has extensive experience in risk and broking having worked in Willis for 10 years with a proven track record in strategic client leadership and strong insights to this rapidly evolving sector.
