AMSTERDAM, 10 February 2021 - Willis Towers Watson is launching SkillsVue in the Netherlands; a first-of-its-kind, interactive analytics software enabling organizations to see the impact of skills on pay for digital talent.

SkillsVue is built upon compensation data from Willis Towers Watson's most robust digital talent compensation survey; the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Talent Compensation Survey. In addition, exclusive technology is used to collect, extract, classify, map and analyze the skills and their impact on pay.

Attracting and retaining digital talent is one of the biggest challenges for organizations worldwide, as well as in the Netherlands. Nine out of ten companies in all sectors struggle to attract and retain digital talent*. Partly due to the COVID pandemic, companies have accelerated their digital transformation journey. This results in a rising demand for digital skills and leads to further scarcity in the labor market. Organisations are forced to take a different approach when it comes to rewarding crucial digital roles and associated skills.

"With skills being the make-or-break factor in attracting digital talent, the traditional reward benchmark needs to be reviewed. SkillsVue provides organizations with essential information to efficiently and effectively value the skills of digital talent”, says Michiel Klompen, Global Product Lead SkillsVue, Willis Towers Watson.

"Currently, employees with knowhow and experience in cyber security, artificial intelligence and cloud computing receive the highest salaries. We notice a similar trend in other digital roles, such as data engineers, UI/UX specialists, and software and application developers. These often require specialized skills which can reflect higher pay. A differentiated rewards offering with a focus on digital skills sends a strong message that the employer recognizes the value of digital talent and is not judging according to a one-size-fits-all philosophy", adds Angel Hoover, Head of Benelux, Willis Towers Watson.

With the help of Artificial Intelligence, SkillsVue assesses the strength of market demand for specific skills and their impact on pay. This innovative approach helps HR professionals to make informed decisions about rewarding, attracting and retaining digital talent.

SkillsVue is already successfully launched in the United States and the United Kingdom, among others, and will now be launched in the Netherlands.
