Our three-day virtual conference ‘Beyond the limits- A blueprint for the future’ brought together industry leaders to debate the future of financial, executive and professional risk and broking and insurance. In 2020, businesses and executive boards have seen unexpected and significant changes in working practices. With many new challenges, and planning underway for 2021, we asked our expert panellists a simple question – what will the risk landscape look like in 2021 and beyond?

We used 11 key areas to guide the conversation to encourage opinion and debate, including topics which impact; Cyber, Directors' & Officers' (D&O), Claims, Professional Indemnity (PI), Financial Institutions (FI), Insurance Broking and Mergers & Acquisitions, and new developing risks such as ESG, financial crime, whistleblowing and factors influencing the future of work.

We look at the ‘S’ (social risk) of ESG and its impact on the corporate world today. We discuss how recent societal events, such as COVID-19 and the increased focus on inclusion and diversity, have potentially exposed Directors to additional liability and regulatory considerations, and what can be done to mitigate these risks.
