WTW appoints Alistair Hewson as Head of Trade Credit in Australia

SYDNEY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2022 — WTW (NASDAQ: WTW), a leading global advisory, broking, and solutions company, has appointed Alistair Hewson as its new Head of Trade Credit for Australia. Alistair will oversee the development and growth of WTW’s Trade Credit team in Australia.

Commenting on Alistair’s appointment, Lee Garvey, Head of Financial Solutions, Asia Pacific, Corporate Risk & Broking said, “During this period of increased economic uncertainty and inflationary risks, we believe companies need our services to manage trade credit exposures now more than ever. We have ambitious plans for Australia and this appointment reflects our commitment to understanding each of our client’s businesses and helping them address the many trade and insolvency risks that may they face.”

Alistair has over 15 years’ industry experience which includes being a user of credit insurance at a large financial institution and as an underwriter at Allianz Trade and Atradius. Along with his expertise in credit insurance, Alistair has worked with multiple top-tier organisations on risk management, project management, strategy, supply chain payments and working capital finance. He has presented strategic recommendations to senior management and C-suite, conducted deal negotiations and undertaken sales and multinational portfolio management.

Holding an MBA from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Alistair relocated to Australia from the UK in 2010. He is based in WTW’s Sydney office. His appointment is effective immediately.
