This survey of claim managers focuses on claim trends in the design profession with the objective of gathering meaningful data to help design professionals proactively manage their business risk.

Willis Towers Watson is proud to publish the Willis A&E Professional Liability Carrier Survey Report completed by Willis A&E, the Center of Excellence for Willis Towers Watson that is exclusively dedicated to providing insurance and risk management solutions to design professionals throughout North America. This report was based on an extensive survey of senior claim managers at 12 leading carriers providing professional liability insurance to design firms in North America.

In this report, we have included comments from our carrier partners and industry experts and have provided some additional insights on the issues raised from the survey. All responses were anonymous allowing for each carrier to offer a candid response.

Additionally, we have grouped the survey results into three areas:

  1. Professional liability claim statistics
  2. Professional liability claim trends
  3. Emerging A&E risks

We believe you will find this report to be a thorough review of A&E PL claim trends along with some interesting insights into what design firms will need to address when it comes to managing professional liability risks now — and in the future.

Please download the report for the full findings.
