LONDON, March 30, 2022 — WTW (Willis Towers Watson, NASDAQ: WTW), a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company, has appointed Joseph Noss as Senior Director, Finance Sector, in the company’s award-winning Climate and Resilience Hub (CRH). Noss will lead engagement with financial institutions, markets and regulators worldwide to support the transition to a resilient, net zero financial system. He began the London-based role on 1 March 2022.

A senior industry figure with over 15 years’ financial sector experience, Noss joins from his previous post at the G20 Financial Stability Board (FSB) in Basel, where he led on climate financial regulation for the banking, investment and insurance sectors. He played a key role in coordinating the FSB Climate Roadmap, which was published in July 2021 and will shape global climate policy and its implementation over the next five years. He also led work to assess climate-related risks to the financial system and to improve the quality and consistency of data and disclosures.

Prior to his time at the FSB, Noss spent over a decade at the Bank of England where he led work to analyse and develop policy across a variety of financial markets and institutions, including capital markets, asset management and insurance industries. He has also been involved in a variety of international policy work, including that by the Committee on the Global Financial System and the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.

Leading the CRH Financial Sector team, Noss will blend WTW people, capital and risk business lines to support financial institutions to develop and implement climate related strategies and reforms in response to developments concerning TCFD, financial regulation and wider market demands.

We are delighted Joe selected WTW as the best platform to serve the financial sector. No one is better qualified to help our clients and wider stakeholders forge their optimum pathway in the Climate Decade ahead,”
