Welcome to the latest edition of the WTW Research Network Newsletter.

Every year it gives us great pleasure to produce the WTW Research Network Annual Review – showcasing a selection of projects we have underway with our partners. The recently published 2022 Annual Review is our most comprehensive yet, and also our most diverse, reflecting the increasing range that dominates the agenda. Covering research across our Natural Catastrophe, People, Technology and Emerging Risks hubs, this year’s publication also demonstrates cross-hub programmes of research focused on specific industry sectors and organizational resilience.

The impact of climate change continues to be a fundamental area of work for the WTW Research Network. The 2022 brochure demonstrates how research is helping to understand the physical risks associated with climate change. Recent events in Afghanistan also underline the importance of a better understanding around earth risk. In this newsletter we are delighted to note recent work from partners at Temblor that has helped increase the understanding of aftershock events, and also feature work exploring the links between climate change and volcanic risk.

We are also delighted to announce that the 2022 WTW TMT Futures Report - Workforce Transformation and the Digital Talent Crisis is now live. Based on research undertaken by the Wharton Mack Institute, and following the launch of the TMT Futures Report in 2021, this report dives further into the specific risk issues related to the digital talent crisis by combining interviews with senior executives across industry with original thought leadership.

As always, we hope that you find the WTW Research Network newsletter a useful summary of key areas of interest for our community. Please do get in touch with any queries or comments.
