Ian Aley, Head of Transactions at WTW, was joined by our de-risking specialists Danielle Feingold and Suzanne Vaughan to discuss the key themes covered within this year’s report and to look at what the longer-term impact is expected to be on the de-risking markets. In addition, they debated what trustees should be doing and how trustees are currently approaching environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations when selecting buy-in providers.
We were also joined by Cathy Aston, Pensions Manager for Crown Packaging, sponsor of the Metal Box Pension Scheme, who completed the largest bulk annuity transaction of 2021 and shared some of the key aspects and learnings of this transaction during a Q&A session with Sadie Scaife, Senior Director, Transactions Specialist at WTW.
